We advise Respond, one of the largest housing associations in Ireland, on various individual development projects to help them realise their ultimate goal of delivering 3,600 affordable new homes across Ireland.
Respond has built over 5,500 homes nationwide and believe in providing housing for social investment rather than financial profit.
On 31 October 2018, Minister Eoghan Murphy launched Respond’s 2017 Annual Report which represents the implementation of innovative and flexible solutions to the housing crisis through delivery of social housing.
Recent projects
Beauchamps has advised respond for the last two years on many of their projects and have helped to deliver social housing units to families and individuals who need them most. Some of our most recent projects with Respond include:
- the development, acquisition and construction of a 54 unit housing development at Golf Links Road, County Kilkenny
- the development, acquisition and construction of a 81 unit residential development at Headford Road, County Galway
- the development of 50 residential units at Carrickmacross, County Monaghan and 33 units in Letterkenny, County Donegal
- site acquisition and development of 42 Residential Units at Midleton, County Cork
- the pilot project for delivery of 155 social and cost rental housing units at Enniskerry Road, Stepaside County Dublin in conjunction with Tuath Housing and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council
- numerous turn-key acquisitions of completed developments and residential units
We take great pride in working with Respond, particularly during an acute social housing shortage in Ireland. Through our work with them we have gained valuable insight into the wider social impact of inclusivity, and how to create thriving communities for families in Ireland.
The Beauchamps’ team who work with Respond is led by commercial property partner and head of our housing team, Fidelma McManus and is supported by partner and head of EU, competition and procurement, Dorit McCann, banking and finance partner, Niall O’Brien and commercial property solicitors, Caoimhe Banks and Aisling O’Neill.
