Beauchamps’ host Regulation 2020 event focused on the key issues which will be facing regulators in the coming year.
On 28 November 2019, Beauchamps held an event for the public and regulatory sector with special guests John Elliot, Director of Regulation & Registrar of Solicitors at Law Society of Ireland and Sheila McClelland, CEO of Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
The event, which was led by newly appointed Partner and Head of Beauchamps Public and Regulatory team, Stephen McLoughlin, provided guests with expert insights on:
- The main critical areas that are impacting on professional regulators such as Brexit and cross-border practice
- How to build a more effective and efficient regulatory system
- How effective the existing regulatory regimes are
- The evolving changed in practice
- Recent legislative developments affecting regulators
The event was attended by a wide range of representatives from the sector including health, housing, legal, financial and transport.
