Beauchamps were delighted to advise Clúid Housing on its acquisition in conjunction with Cork City Council of the Leeside Apartments which are to be used for social housing.
This newly renovated 78 unit apartment complex, previously owned by Lugus Capital, had come under controversy recently when a number of households had been given eviction notices. This acquisition not only saved homes for existing tenants but will provide housing for people on Cork City Council’s housing list.
Clúid Housing is now the largest housing association in Ireland, with a mission to provide quality housing to create homes and communities, and this complex will provide people in Cork City with long-term, secure homes.
Beauchamps advised Clúid on all legal aspects of this acquisition.
The Beauchamps' team was led by Commercial Property partner, Anne Doyle and Head of our specialised Housing team, Fidelma McManus.
