Beauchamps continue to be actively involved in community development projects, and one of our most proud accomplishments is our support of the Career Local Employment Action Partnership (LEAP) program, which was developed in collaboration with Trinity College Dublin (TCD) and community groups Swan Youth Service and East Wall Youth to assist young people from marginalized backgrounds in Dublin's north inner city.
Our Director of Operations, Paul Clarke, speaks to and mentors' young people on the program, along with partners and other senior staff. Recently, Paul attended the Career LEAP graduation ceremony hosted in the Central Bank of Ireland on November 30, 2022, on behalf of Beauchamps.
Paul received a Certificate of Participation from Trinity College Dublin for mentorship on the program, which was presented by Dr Linda Doyle, Provost and President of TCD, and Mr. Vasileios Madouros, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland.
Graduating on the night was Jade Murray (pictured with Paul), who we are delighted to have onboard, the latest in a line of fantastic team members working in Beauchamps, as a law clerk on a three-week work experience placement that has been extended until Christmas.
We are delighted to be co-sponsoring with A&L Goodbody, Kelly Caffrey in her post-graduate studies. She is completing her Masters in Criminology at UCD and will graduate in October 2023.
Through this programme, we have welcomed many bright and valued staff members to the firm, and provided mentorship support to young adults.
ABOUT CAREER LEAP (LOCAL EMPLOYMENT ACTION PARTNERSHIP)
A pioneering youth work-readiness programme developed by Trinity College for young adults in Dublin's north inner city. It helps build personal, social, emotional, and cognitive skills to develop career identity and work-readiness. Participants complete a tailor made four week personal and work readiness blended training programme. They then complete a period of work placement where they receive one to one mentor support from one of Career Leap's business partners. Afterwards, follow up support is provided to help them pursue their career journey.
A special word of thanks to Professor Carmel O Sullivan, TCD and Aimee Harding, Swan Youth Services.
Congratulations to all the graduates and the very best of luck.
